Automated Biosensor Printer Printed Circuit Board Design Retrospective

This project is a retrospective analysis of the PCB design I created for my Senior Design project. My main goal is to identify key areas of improvement in my PCB design skills by analyzing the signal integrity of the traces I designed using HyperLynx. The image below shows the HyperLynx Board Layout of the Automated Biosensor Printer PCB that I exported from EAGLE.

Signal Integrity and Analysis

This image shows the oscilloscope reading of a randomly chosen signal trace from the Automated Biosensor Printer PCB. The input signal is a 50MHz square wave, and the output signal is shown to have significant ringing. The main cause of this ringing is most likely due to impedance mismatches along the trace. To improve the signal integrity of this trace (and all others on the PCB), I would need to ensure that the impedances at the source and load ends of each trace match.
